Slacker!

I'm such a slacker on my blog!! We are here and moved in! I am on my second day of work! We pulled into town and got our house a day early woohoo! We got the truck completely unpacked the first day! We didn't mess around! We ran errands for three days straight! Just getting the stuff we needed! We got a new car, a washer and dryer, and random household stuff! I am in love with my new house! Wish it was all mine!! Still working on getting a fence for the backyard so the puppies can play outside unsupervised lol! This week is flying by! Havent really met very many people, because I'm in training... Learning how to do what I have been doing for 9mon :/ lol but oh well! I only briefly got to meet my new coworkers. Everyone seems nice! Probably the funniest thing do far was going to get my nails done, I baffled all the nail techs with my acrylic color tips lol! They only paint or airbrush the acrylics lol!!!! They all crowded around me!! It was tooooo funny! Did some exploring and took a few wrong turns, but slowly figuring it out! So much traffic here! Found a way to avoid the highway this morning and ended up being like an hour early!! Haha do therefore I have time to update everyone! We don't have Internet yet otherwise i would have pictures up already! Wednesday night! :)

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya!

Hubs ticket is booked!! He flies back tomorrow night!! Today is my last day of being able to pack, so I have a busy day ahead! We are heading out thursday or Friday! We just have to be there next Friday! Now we actually have a home there, it's a sweet brick house. 3bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and we have a screen porch and a yard (not fenced though) aannndddd the best part, I get to buy a washer and dryer!!! Yay!! I got a picture of the house today, hub chose an older all brick house because he didn't want a two story lol! We have always has upstairs apartments and he is sick of moving furniture upstairs!! Only he would think of that, and he said its at the end of the road so there is less traffic! :) this process actually was very quick and efficient! I'm very impressed with the Navy! We're getting the moving truck tomorrow morning and both our families are going to be here to help us load it!! I'm so happy to get out of the crap hole we live in right now :( I pick hub up at 7:45 pm at the big airport about 2 hrs away!! And then he will most likely just want to sleep and then Thursday the families will get together and all spend some time together. We are very ready to be there, jury is still out on whether or not I'm excited for the actual drive lol. My dogs dont know what they are in for! But I loaded up on snacks for the road! Probably going to stay at the inlays tonight so I can have this place completely packed. Good vibes :)

Reality Check!

SO i am currently back home! Recap of this weekend! Got my see my honey! He graduated Friday morning! I went to the base at 6:30 am and the graduation didnt start until 9:20am! Thats a long three hours! The graduations are really long! But the moment when you hear them call Liberty is the best moment ever! When i first saw my Hub i gave him the awkward side hug and he goes, "Whats your problem, why you being so awkward??" lol Not much has changed! First thing we did was go get me out of the damn heels and dress and into some regular clothes. I can only be that polished for a short time. Then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch, he just wanted something yummy! lol Then we made a pit stop at Walmart for some necessities like, Q tips, toothpaste, and a phone charger for me :) We mostly just bummed around and then he only wanted ice cream for dinner lol So Silly! Then we went to the Navy Exchange, "NEX" That place is awesome!!! Its like a discounted Macys!!!! lol I had to give him back at 8 pm. BUT! your allowed to go to the airport! So i left my hotel at 3 am! And i spend from about 4:30 am til 12pm with him! We got him a pair of Oakleys that he can wear in Uniform, They have to be all black. And then we just sat and cracked jokes and such! I cried for like the first hour of my flight even though I see him this week!! So dumb lol. But he has his call phone now so i can text him all i want!! He just arrived in Charleston, he has the day off tomorrow and then Moving Business Monday and Tuesday. For all the confusion i see all over the internet... He is coming back to get me and he is getting money for the move. Only if you are Married and he is a Nuke so his school is longer that all the others ones. Typically wives dont come to school at all. But his is like over 2 yrs! Now its crunch time!! :) Good Vibes

oh the midwest!

Im back in my old neck of the woods!! my daywas crazy hectic! first of all my plane landed in san fran 10 min AFTER my flight to chicago boarded, nice huh? As my dad would say, i did "the san fran dash" that airport is huge! but shockingly i made my flight! and im sure my friends and family from home will just laugh, but all of my oregon people never see storms likei drove in today!! the thunder shook my car! and on a bunch of chicago highways that i know not one thing about!! but now im safe and sound in my hotel room! just waiting for the morning to come!! tomorrow morning means seeing my babe!!! im so ready to see him, even if its only one day for now :) im cutting this one short due to it being really hard to type on my tablet with nails!! Good Vibes! :)

I'm leavin' on a jet plane!

Today is the day!! I am currently in the squeakiest chair in the gate area! But I'm checked in a ready to fly! I have my pink cheetah duffel and my oversized purse :) I have the tightest connection at my first stop! Everyone send me your good vibes and pray I make my flight!! I already googled the map of the airport and looked at my gates and where I have to run to! Lol so hopefully I'm prepared! I get to see hub tomorrow for the day :) then its back home to button things up there :) I'm so excited to see him! I have a bag full of congrats cards and I'm so ready to just hang out with my best friend!! And I'm hoping I am suffering from sleep deprivation enough to actually sleep on my flight (unheard of) Monday night went to sleep at 1:30 am and up at 7, Tuesday night went to a concert out of town with the family after work, which was a blast, and didn't go to sleep until 2ish, and then again up at 7. Then last night I crashed at 11:30 but up at 3AM!!!! I'm going to look like a raccoon! Wife? What wife? Zombie more like it! Well everyone keep sending me good vibes and good karma!!!! Wish me luck flying today!! :)

And the fun begins!

Here's a little outlook on my next two weeks... Tomorrow, 8 hours of work, drive and hour south, see and concert with my family. Wednesday, Last day of work, pack all the dogs stuff to my in laws, sleep until like 3 am. Thursday, Fly to San Fran at 6 am, then fly to Chicago at 9 am, Land at 2 pm, pick up rental car, drive 1 hour, check into hotel, sleep. Friday, Wake up at 5 am, get ready, drive to base at 6:30 am, Graduation at 8 am, SEE MY HUBSTER, drop him back off at 8 pm, go back to my hotel, sleep until 2 am. Saturday. Drive to airport at 3 am, meet ken with his phone and bag, hang out with him until his flight, fly back to San Fran at 12pm, fly to eugene at 3 pm, land at 5pm, party with my Bank people! Sunday, get organized and get carpet shampooed and house cleaned, sleep. Monday, Dogs to the vet, DMV, Comcast to shut off cable, Electricity shut off, get car realigned (i park on the curb lol) Tuesday, Mom and sister come to help me finish packing, spend time with family. Wednesday, Load the truck, last minute cleaning, sleep at in-laws or hotel. Thursday, pick Hubby up, hang out with family, Plan our attack across country, get snacks for the car. Friday or Saturday: HIT THE ROAD! Then when we get there we have to unload, unpack, buy a car, return truck, all before i start my job on the 27th... DID I MENTION ITS 2900 MILES?? Holy Toledo Batman (As my MIL would say) Thats one heck of a drive. And i have to "Drop the Drive Line" on my jeep. My father in law can do it... But who the heck is putting it back on??? Because my, ever so smart, hubby told me to "Ask his Dad" Ha! WOW! This next month is a total Whirlwind! My house is pretty much in boxes right now! I just have enough clothes to get by! And im trying to eat all of the food i have left over... I eat out a lot... Im creative, just really impatient, therefore cooking isnt working out so well. Cant wait until im back with Chef Hubby! He makes the best meals! Sure do love him! Its so close to being time! I am so thankful i started packing so early, because im not scrambling at the end now! I just have about 1 load of laundry and the sheets im sleeping on! I just need to clean now! My hubby better do all the unpacking while i sit with a nice bottle of Merlot! Because i packed my @$$ off! If i quit eating out i might lose a few pounds! :) Well TTFN (Ta Ta For Now) Keep sending good vibes my way! Getting easier everyday!

Sunday Funday.

Today was productive! Got up and took roommate back to her car, last night was a cab kinda night for us ;) Then got a pedicure and my nails done! So cute with little anchors!! My hub will prob be embarrassed! Oh well! Then came home and organized everything that wasn't packed. I packed a bunch more clothes and 97% of my shoes! Then I got a to go back packed for my dogs and another bag for their stay with my in-laws this week. I packed up the bathroom stuff like lotions, extra stuff under the sink. Then I made sure all of the wall hangings are down. I'm getting very close! Roommate moves out this weekend :( I'm really going to miss her! We have had such a fun summer! I am going through a feeling of guilt. I feel like I should be sad knowing that I'm leaving all my friends and family, but I can't help but be excited because moving there means I have my honey back in my arms :) I made a to-do list of stuff I need to get done on my two days off before ken lands. Conveniently my car tags are expiring and and my dogs are due for shots! Both this month ugh! Oh well Ill get it done here and then I dont have to worry about it there! I talked on the phone with one of my husbands chiefs the other day; found out their is no waiting list for base housing currently! Woohoo! Ad reassured me that ken will be back the first week an ill make it to my job on time! I am feeling so much less stressed! Could be because my mind is so preoccupied by the thoughts of seeing my husband! I'm daydreaming about him like I'm in middle school!!! I'm so excited!!!!! It's finally coming to an end! Everyone please keep sending good vibes my way! They are working! Wish me a smooth move!! I am creating as much good karma as one busy lady can do! :) I'm nervous for the south, seeing as though I'm already a grouch-o-saurus when I get too hot! And it was barely 100degrees yesterday lol!

Best Friday Ever! Happy Wife

So yesterday was friday, which already typically means a good day! But right as i got to work I got a returned call from my husbands Chief in Charleston. I got a paper with a number to call for information and its actually someone helpful on the other end! He confirmed all of the things i needed to know and told me all about the move! I slept so well last night because i wasnt worried at all! He was so funny and nice, then he gave me another number to call and give another guy a heads up and tell him that we are coming! So then i called him and he was like there is no wait list for base housing right now! You will get right in! THANK GOD! I told him i was concerned because im starting a new job and he was like congratulations and told me how wonderful it is that im working and that ill be a huge support to my Hubby! Then i got my butt back to work and right at 12 noon sharp, my phone rang with a Chicago Area code! My honey was finally calling, second call in 2 months! I was soo excited! We actually got to talk for about 40 min and he was just filling me in on how its going and everything, we talked about how the move was going to go. He is so smart and i am so proud of him! This is the call they get after their final test! Affectionately called the "Im a Sailor" Call.  He is pretty much just hanging out for the remainder of the time! Im so close, i feel like the closer it gets, the harder it is! When he first left it was like, he is going to be gone awhile, so better just sit tight. But when i know its just a few short days away, i can barely focus on what needs to be done!! Now my panic has really worn off and now its pure excitement! I cant wait for our new life and this big adventure! Things are getting better by the minute! If your planning on being married to someone in the service.. Do your own research and be very organized! Make sure if the recruiters use the phrase "Ill get you a number of someone who can find out for you" or "Let me look into that" Go to your commanding officer of the station or jump online! And anytime your given a number to get some information, call it! And when it comes to moving! Hubby gets 1 day to load the truck and 1 day to unload on either end. So have everything packed before, then your sailor can enjoy that one day with his family! :) The Navy is wonderful so far! I am loving every minute of it. My husband is happy and got the exact rate he wanted, base housing is locked down, new job to start right away, weekends off together in a beautiful new city, and a great start to our marriage! Being apart really makes you appreciate the smallest things about the other person. I learned to not sweat the small stuff and to live my life to make my hubby happy, because he lives his for my happiness. He is completely selfless and i need to take some lessons! :)

8 days!!!

After 7 weeks apart, I cannot believe its only 8 days away! Its weird to think i have made it through this and im on the tail end! So Hub is doing his Battlestations Thursday at 8pm-8am and then a phone call! This is the big phone call, he calls this time as an official sailor! He has been keeping me posted on the process and all the tests he has to take! This letter filled me in about getting gassed! Yikes! My poor hub, good thing he is tough :) I have only spoke on the phone with him for 8 min in almost 2 months! This next call is going to be welcomed with open arms! I just need to make sure to keep my phone on me at all times! Im so scared i will be in an appointment at the time he calls! Hopefully it works out. Update on my packing! I am doing some laundry tonight and getting the last few blankets packed. I am still trying to figure out what to do with my dogs massive beds?? Together they are like the size of my queen bed! lol Spoiled brats! I finally got a safe and put all of the important stuff in it! That is something i have been meaning to do! Really glad that this process has begun! It keeps me busy and helps keep my mind off the fact that his butt isnt here to help me lol. Well less than one more week at my branch here and then im out of work for 3 weeks until i start my new job on the 27th! :) Everyone send good prayers and good karma my way to ensure i get to South Carolina on time. Its eating me up! I start a training class that day and so i have no room to budge if this takes too long! Its stressing me out to the point of not being able to eat!! So please send all your good thoughts my way! So much love from my hubby via his letters! But after him being gone this long (not sure if this is only me) i feel like i dont even remember what he looks like or kissing him, its extremely weird. I like know i love him and i know im soooo happy, but i just dont remember having him around! Its weird. Im getting butterflies just like im going on a date with him for the first time! Its so exciting!

Sunday Funday?

So its Sunday, and im being lazy! Sundays used to consist of Costco, the dog park, shopping, and other fun things... Now i sit and watch Jersey Shore reruns and eat peanut butter with a spoon! lol BUT, thats going to change soon! Its getting so close to Pass in Review! I cant wait to fly to chicago! My flight schedule is pretty sweet, but i paid a pretty penny for it! I fly out of here at 6 am on thursday morning and land in Chicago at 2:09pm! So i have the afternoon to waste time in Chicago and then drive to great lakes! Its about an hour to the RTC from Chicago O'Hare. My Hotel is about 1 mile from RTC! If i didnt pack the highest heels i have, i would walk lol. But no i rented a car, i pick up the car when i land and then i have it all weekend so we can bum around Chicago! There is a six flags not too far from the RTC! Hubby has all day friday, but has to report to the Airport at 3 am! But im allowed to be with him at the airport. SUPPOSEDLY they give you a gate pass, which is a special consideration, to spend more time with the Sailors. Then i fly out at Noon on Saturday and land at 5pm. Super awesome flight times. Get there early, Leave there late! :) I didnt write yesterday because i had one of those inevitable bad days. Great Day at work, everything went down hill after that. I got off work, no letter in my mailbox, then i had to say goodbye to my BEST friend who had come up to stay the night with me. So the waterworks were on after that, then drove to my inlaws and some idiot slammed on his brakes and caused me to spill my drink all over my car. And not just dribble on my dress i mean splattered on my windshield and covered my legs. Really Awesome! Then i went to dinner and came home. I, unfortunately, turned on the movie "My Sister's Keeper" really stupid idea. So then it got the tears started and i turned into a mess temporarily. HAHA! But now I have celebrated my pity party and Im going to spend some of my Husbands hard earned money today! WOO! Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Everything is for sale! lol

I finally sold my dang headboard! The lady was like are you selling other stuff, and i said Um Ya! Like everything lol. BUT she doesnt have dogs so 90% she wasnt interested in. Kitchen table is taken apart and all my stuff is piled in a corner. And my carpets are cleaner than when i moved in! Im trying so hard not to buy groceries, but its hard to make a meal out of some veggie burgers, a slim fast shake, a packet of hollandaise sauce, and some salad dressing lol! So im trying to be creative. I still have some major packing to do, seeing as i have a serious clothing addiction! So im trying to pack up a bunch of stuff that i wear less often and do some laundry so i can get throw blankets and dogs beds all clean. I need to scrub the bathroom and kitchen.  Tonight i plan on eating.. then taking down our makeshift dresser in our room. I finally made a goodwill run, which im sure there will be more. I wish i could have a garage sale! But im in a apartment... So that is a lost cause. 13 days and 9 hours until i fly to chicago! Im so antsy! I put in my two weeks notice at my branch here! Ill be out of      work for about 3 weeks! Yikes! So i better start the penny pinching now! Hopefully I wont need to buy much since im leaving. Booked my moving truck today! Tentatively for the 15th of August! Anyone who knows how this stuff works, knows that is subject to change. I also have a tentative start date at my new branch! August 29th! Woohoo! Im starting to panic a little. Just because it seems to be going to smoothly, something must go wrong right? Well im conjuring up as much good Karma as I can! .....Brief pause as i ransack my house for a dog water dish that is supposed to go with a crate im selling, but i believe Goodwill may be the proud new owner of that! Crap! Oh well. Anyways off to finish cleaning my home! There is trash to be taken and space bags to be vacuumed! Wish me luck and a quick and easy meal! :)

Back home!

Went to my home town for the weekend! Had a blast! Saw my two best friends, had some great times! I back now and feeling the pressure! The dates are always so unsure! My hubby will be back either wednesday the 15th or the next wednesday! So i cant really set anything in stone until like right before! This whole navy endeavor is really teaching me some patience i am learning to just go with the flow, and when the flow sucks and the current tries to take me down stream, I paddle like hell! :) I told myself i wouldnt buy any more crap, since im pretty well packed, BUTTTTT i came home with an awesome new coffee table, a statue of a basset hound (NOODS) and a bunch of new clothes. DANG! Oh well :) This is going to be a crazy week! I put in my 2 weeks on wednesday! and then i go to chicago the day after my last day for graduation! Cant wait to see Hub! He wrote me this weekend and he got the rate he wanted as well! Machinist Mate? No clue what that is, but im proud! Until tomorrow!

Its the Final Countdown Ba da da daaa

So today i did a whole lot of nothing! :) I worked until 6, but that pretty typical, then i went tanning! That was the most relaxing 12 min i have had in like 2 months! lol I am pretty packed for the most part. Just need the truck! I am realizing the time is closer than i thought. Because i have 4 week exactly, minus 3 days in my hometown, 3 days in chicago, working the other 2 saturdays on top of 40 hour work weeks! I dont feel as silly packing so early. My goal is to have this place packed and waiting by the door by the time my hubby rolls in. The reason being, he has 1 day, ONE DAY, to pack and hit the road, i really dont want to see him waste one day walking up and down our stairs. I would much rather see him having a beer with his dad and relaxing. I will have the moving truck packed and outside our house the day before he gets here. That way he can just relax! :) Nicest wife EVER! I am still working on packing up my closet. I have some more space bags (Muhahaha) but i like having options, so i gave up silverware instead lol. My goal right now, STOP BUYING MORE CRAP! Wish me luck!

Busy busy busy

Anyone who knows me can attest for this. I tend to jump the gun, lol but for a move across the united states. I feel like packing couldn't start soon enough... Unfortunately I'm very efficient with packing these days. So therefore I am almost completely packed. And I have 3 weeks lol. I still have some stuff to go donate and try to sell, but for the most part stuff is ready to toss into the truck! Thank god for my father in law, taking care of booking the moving truck and trailer to tow the jeep. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to pack my mass amounts of shoes!! I tried to fill my suitcase.. I got like 4 pairs of my 50! Haha so on to the next idea. We have to drive a min of 350 miles a day, but we plan on pushing through and having some time on the sc end to get settled. I start my job the last week in August (tentative) so wish me luck on having a stress free last few weeks!! Going to my home town for the last time this weekend! Can't wait to see my friends!

Reality is setting in

Oh Man! I know my blog is usually so positive...But i am starting to freak out a little! Im working like a mad man, packing, trying to figure out whats going on with my apartment, and trying to figure out a start date for my job! I am a little flustered and focusing is really hard! I miss my husband so much and its really started to get hard. He really balances me out. This time next month i will already be on my way to the east coast! Although i am so excited for our new adventure. I find that im running into the "last time" factor. The last time ill be visiting my family and friends from home. The last time ill be at my parents house and hanging out with them. The last time my roommate and i go out to our favorite show at the bar. Every time i am having fun, i feel this way. I am semi packed at the house. Just getting rid of a few last items. Found out that we have to have all of the money to move, and then we will get reimbursed for all expenses. Hubby has one day of leave for every 350 miles traveled. So we will have to power pack the truck. Im just trying to keep in mind the positives. I have a wonderful husband, Im moving with my best friend, I get to see all new things, I get to live by the beach :), I have a job over there, My husband has a wonderful opportunity, I get to road trip cross country, and I get to start a new life (my way, no influences) Making my own happiness :)

Moving so soon!

Things are creeping up!! My last day at my branch is the 8th holy moly!! Cleaned the crap out of our car today to avoid getting in trouble with my husband when he gets back!! I'm so nervous but also so excited! Missing my husband :) need to start packing tomorrow!! My days off to pack are getting limited!! Got my new camera day and trying to figure it out enough to use it for our cross country trek! Booking the moving truck this week! Crossing my fingers for a back yard at our new place :)

Moving Update!

Good and bad news! I got a letter from Kenny today (good news) and found out i get to see him sooner (better news) BUT.. I am moving sooner than expected! I return from Chicago on the 11th in the evening time, Kenny will arrive in portland on wednesday! We will be leaving the next day. We will be leaving Eugene on August 16th. He will have our house by the time he gets back to Eugene! I have to pretty much be packed by then. I have already started packing the stuff i dont use much, and i am also slimming down our stuff. Seeing as though we have accrued a lot in the last few years! Needing to donate a bunch of dog stuff lol! Spoiled girls! And going through some old clothes. Im so ready to be with my Hubby again! Being apart makes you take a second look at a relationship :) In a great way! I am buying a new camera tomorrow, a fancy pants one at that! Say hello to the newest Banker in SC

Today I found out I got the job in charleston! Yay!!! One less stress! So excited for all these new opportunities! Getting closer and closer to graduation!! I fly out in 28 days! This is all becoming very real! I'm so excited to share my good news with my Hub!! Everything is falling into place! Let's hope for a great day tomorrow an a great weekend ahead. Shopped for a dress for graduation tonight, came out with 3 dresses, a necklace, a green pair of pants, and 3 tank tops! Lol

Military ID card or Mugshot?

My military ID photo is worse than any drivers license photo i have ever seen! FYI Smile in the photo. I was not so sure, so i just sat there. HA! Any wives going into this.. Make sure your ID is changed into your married name. Really easy process though! I thought it would be a large ordeal, so i was waiting there at the crack of dawn and i was out in 15 min! 29 days until i get to see my hubby! The whole basic training experience has been a new one for us! But we are coping with it and trudging on! Halfway mark! My goal with this blog is to put out there how things happen.  I know i have been so anxious with this process and would have liked a play by play from someone in my position! So i'm hoping to give some one some peace of mind! I have an extremely positive attitude about the move and this new lifestyle! I have heard that this can be a fun lifestyle or a hard one, all depending on your attitude! So therefore i have made the decision to make this a fun life! I want to see new things and go on adventures with my best friend! I will blog as we go! Ill keep this updated with move information, housing, and resources! I have done ALOT of research and asked a lot of questions! Feel free to comment with questions! I will get back asap! No Negative Nancys! The Navy is a great opportunity and has been a life saver for us!
